Olton Herb Gardens, available for resident’s use.

Solihull Council are responsible for various raised flowerbeds around the Borough. These are expensive to maintain when planted with bedding plants, both in terms of time and money. Some raised beds have therefore been removed but others have been turned into Herb Gardens for the use of local residents. We have four such beds in Olton. Three of them are adjacent to the shops on the corner of Castle Lane and Knightsbridge Road, the other one is adjacent to the café at the beginning of the shops on Dovehouse Parade. They have been planted with various herbs and there is a laminated information sheet attached nearby. Any resident is welcome to help themselves to a few leaves or a sprig or two, but is asked to not take too much so the plants can continue to thrive and provide benefit to many for a long time. The beds were planted in the autumn so the plants should now be established enough for residents to use.
